The company that franchises Bagger Dave’s Legendary Burgers has announced it has signed a long-term lease for a new restaurant in downtown Detroit.

The new BD’s will open in 2013 and will be adjacent to the new Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant now under construction in the former Odd Fellows building at 1211 Randolph St.

The new burger and yard bird eateries will be close to Ford Field, Comerica Park and Joe Louis arena.

“We are always looking for opportunities to expand our brand and introduce our great-tasting food and unique guest experience to new markets,” stated T. Michael Ansley, president and CEO of Diversified Restaurant Holdings.

“There has been so much energy and positivity recently surrounding the revitalization and rebuilding of downtown Detroit, and moving forward with this site demonstrates our continued commitment to the community and our belief in the city’s revitalization efforts.”

Bagger Dave’s has 11 locations in Michigan.
