Detroit, Grand Rapids named among 100 best places to retire in the U.S.

Detroit and Grand Rapids were named in a list of the 100 best places to retire in the U.S.A. by U.S. News & World Report.

Grand Rapids was ranked number 6 and Detroit was ranked number 64.

Ranking criteria included the happiness of local residents, housing affordability, tax rates and healthcare quality.

The number one place was named Lancaster, Pennsylvania, while Bakersfield, California was named number 100.
