Campus Apartments will construct two on-campus housing facilities for Howard University that will cost about $107 million. The project was financed through tax-exempt bonds issued by the District of Columbia.
The buildings will create a dedicated residential area for underclassmen and accommodate 1,360 students. The buildings will also have accommodations for faculty, staff and guests and aim to help revitalize a main corridor along the school’s campus. The project is expected to be completed by August 2014. Campus Apartments focuses on student housing and is based in Philadelphia.
