Gov. Rick Snyder launched the Michigan Saves Business Energy Financing Program during a visit Friday to Hiller’s Market in Northville. He announced a statewide initiative he says encourages businesses to save money through energy efficient upgrades.
The goal of the initiative, the Associated Press reports, is to help businesses reduce costs by providing low-interest financing for energy efficient lighting, heating and cooling systems, insulation, refrigeration and equipment. Under the plan, businesses would make the upgrades using authorized contractors and financing of up to $150,000.
