Oakland Regional Hospital in Southfield, a physician-owned osteopathic hospital, will open a foot and ankle center on Aug. 10, said Daniel Babb, Oakland Regional’s CEO.

The new center will be located on the hospital’s second floor and will offer comprehensive foot exams, reconstructive and corrective surgeries.

Two podiatrists, Jeffrey Frederick and Lee Hoffman, on the hospital’s medical staff will run the center.

Oakland Regional, which is owned by 11 physician investors, is one of three divisions of Southfield Rehabilitation Co., a Warren-based holding company. The other two divisions are Oakland Regional Macomb Center, an outpatient surgery center in Warren, and the Oakland Nursing Center, a 26-bed skilled nursing unit housed in Oakland Regional.
