The New York-based owner of One Detroit Center, iStar Financial, is selling the postmodern building on Woodward.
Designed by Philip Johnson and John Burgee Architects, the skyscraper was built in the early 1990s and houses law firms, banks and other companies.
The company offered to sell the building to the city’s Police and Fire Retirement System, which declined, city officials told me Thursday.
